How Cube works

1

Scan any card

Point your camera at a card and keep going. Continuous scanning clears a whole collection in one sitting, no typing set names or collector numbers.

2

Matched to the exact printing

Cube pins down the precise card and printing, foil or not, then pulls the price for that exact variant. It checks each scan more than one way, so you fix fewer bad matches.

3

Track value and climb the board

Log each card's condition, from NM to DMG, then watch value, gains and losses against cost basis, set completion, and your rank.

Prices come from live trading-card market data and refresh continuously. Card details are sourced from Scryfall, TCGdex, YGOPRODeck, and Lorcast.

Built for collectors who keep score

Accurate card identification

Cube confirms each scan against multiple signals before it commits to a match, so it lands on the right card and the right printing. Less time correcting, more time scanning.

A value leaderboard

Opt in and rank against other collectors by distinct-card value. Duplicates don't count, so a wall of the same card won't carry you. See where you actually stand.

A portfolio, not a pile

Track cost basis alongside current value and see your return over time, the way you would a portfolio. Your collection is an asset. Cube treats it like one.

Honest pricing

No countdown timers, no invented discounts. A generous free tier covers 150 cards with full value tracking, and Pro stays a fair price when you outgrow it.

Fair pricing, no tricks.

Track up to 150 cards free, with full value tracking, continuous scanning, and the leaderboard included. Go Pro at $9.99/mo or $49.99/yr to collect without limits, see your return on every card (what it's worth versus what you paid), and sort your cards into unlimited collections.

Questions

Which games does Cube support?

Cube scans and tracks Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Lorcana. Point the camera at a card from any of these games and Cube identifies it, prices it, and adds it to your collection.

How does card scanning work, and how accurate is it?

You point your iPhone camera at a card and Cube identifies the exact card and printing. Every scan is cross-checked multiple ways before a match is confirmed, which cuts down on bad identifications. We don't quote an accuracy percentage, because honest numbers depend on lighting, card condition, and the card itself.

Where do card prices come from?

Prices come from live trading-card market data and refresh continuously. Card and set data come from Scryfall for Magic: The Gathering, TCGdex for Pokemon, YGOPRODeck for Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Lorcast for Lorcana.

Is Cube free?

Yes. The free tier covers 150 cards with full value tracking, continuous scanning, and the leaderboard. Pro is $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year and adds unlimited cards, per-card return, and unlimited collections.

What happens when I reach 150 cards?

Your first 150 cards keep full value tracking; nothing gets downgraded or hidden. To add cards beyond 150, you upgrade to Pro. There are no countdown timers or invented discounts, just the one limit.

Does Cube detect the exact printing of a card?

Yes. Cube identifies the specific printing, not just the card name, because different printings of the same card can carry very different prices. Each scan is cross-checked multiple ways so the match reflects the version in your hand.

Is there an Android version of Cube?

Not yet. Cube is launching on iOS first, and there is no Android version today.

How does the leaderboard work, and is my collection public?

The leaderboard is opt-in, and your collection is private by default. It ranks collectors by the value of their distinct cards, so duplicates do not count. If you never opt in, nothing about your collection is shown to anyone.

Can I track what I paid versus what my cards are worth now?

Yes. Cube tracks your cost basis against current market value and shows your return over time, along with set-completion progress. Pro adds per-card return, so you can see which pickups actually paid off.

Do I need to type in set names or card numbers?

No. You point the camera and keep scanning; Cube works out the card, set, and printing on its own. Continuous scanning is built for clearing a full binder in one sitting.

When does Cube launch?

Cube is coming soon to the App Store on iOS. Join the early-access waitlist at cubepod.app and we'll let you know the moment it's live.

Is Cube affiliated with the game publishers?

No. Cube is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast, The Pokemon Company, Konami, or Ravensburger. Game names are used descriptively, to say which cards the app supports.
